FROM A DISTANCE
Being miserable with maps I tend to get to know places by sounds, words, moods and meanings instead of roads, corners, numbers and crossings.
Place is nothing but a coordinate having no identity before having been given one. Place can create a certain beauty, a sense of location or distance that can separate or bond you with something significant to you. Places, which don’t knowingly exist resonate privately and are the ones that find you - not the other way round.
That’s my comfort.
The invisible map I carry with me, being maybe the only map I ever know how to read.
From A Distance is a collaboration with a CPH-based photographer Adam Hencz. This poetic photo journal shares fragments of the hidden beauty of places
experienced and reflected near and far.

close-knit realities overlap when roads are closing / de-calling all there is / in between / a silent statue / unintentionally shared beauty
